It’s been an exciting spring and summer for me as a scholarly author. Like most scholars, the majority of literature I write and read are accessed online. So I was pleasantly surprised to receive my first print copy of one of journal articles and my first book chapter in an edited volume.
My article in Transgender Studies Quarterly, written with some of my Lyon-Martin Health Services co-workers, was the first to arrive. It looks so great in print and I’m proud of this work and being a small part of this amazing community clinic.
The second printed work was a copy of Fat Sex: New Direction in Theory and Activism, which contains my chapter on body size diversity within SF Bay Area queer pornography. I loved writing this and working with the book’s great editors, Helen Hester and Caroline Walters.
